Preamble

I have entered the Healthy Habits challenge at Degree Fitness Seaforth.  Our 3 challenges to complete every day are as follows: 

  • Complete 60 minutes of physical activity a day (the 60 minutes can be split up)
  • Spend time with Friends/Family (within current Public Health Guidelines - get creative!)
  • Prep 1 - 2 meals for the week (Example: 1-2 Dinners, 1-2 Lunches, vice versa)

Because I live on my own and I'm not very chatty, along with the COVID shutdown we are currently facing, spending time with family and friends, even through video chats/phone conversations just isn't going to work for me.  If a group of people start talking I'll eventually join in, but me initiating a call would be several minutes of awkward silence!  Therefore I'm just trying to think outside the box to share a bit of me.  I'll still try and send a text to family and friends to see how they are doing, which I still don't normally do unless I need to ask or communicate something, but I'm far more comfortable behind a keyboard than talking.  Therefore I thought I would start a blog to journal my way through this challenge.  A place to share the physical activities I've done; things I'm doing or have done in the past for meal prep, healthy recipes that I really enjoy, and some photography of my journey through anything worthy I might be sharing throughout this four week journey.

There will also be special challenges each weekend and I will also be sharing about those as we go along.
